Saturday, In front of the Galatasaray high school on Istiklal, we saw this group of posters with signs that said "We want solutions, not death" "The main language does not break the isolation kills" according to Google translate. Maybe someone who speaks Turkish can do better. I couldn't find anything in the news specific to this, but it was interesting that the police were there, equipped with a truck that looked like maybe it could launch things from a gun like thing mounted to the top- they had shields and everything though they were standing around joking, and it was a peaceful protest- I think they just have to be there in case it gets out of hand.
Of my search it could either be about a guy who was arrested for rigging turkish soccer matches and then set free right away, or about missing persons from a military coup (more likely), or unemployed teachers protesting... not sure.
