Pigeon Valley

We took a tour to more easily hit some of the sites Kapadokya, which we learned means "land of beautiful horses" has to offer. We visited a panoramic point where you could see down to the whole valley, complete with caves and smaller pigeon holes. Apparently back in the day pigeons were trained and used as messengers. Pigeons a useful and revered animal? Hard to believe based on my experiences with dirty, greedy, annoying city pigeons these days.
